Bulk corporate gifting looks simple until you're the one running the process — dozens of SKUs, multiple approvals, tight festive-season timelines, and a delivery list that spans cities. Here's the process we walk HR and procurement teams through.
1. Set the budget per recipient tier first
Decide budget bands before browsing products — it's far faster to shortlist within a budget than to fall in love with a product and then negotiate the budget around it. See our full budget-wise gifting guide for typical bands.
2. Decide how many distinct SKUs you actually need
For most programs, 1-3 SKUs per budget tier is enough — offering 10+ options slows down procurement (more vendor negotiation, more inventory risk) without meaningfully improving recipient satisfaction.
3. Check MOQ and lead time before finalising
Minimum order quantities and lead times vary by brand and SKU — a smartwatch model with strong retail demand may have a longer bulk lead time than a less popular one. Confirm this before you commit a date to your internal stakeholders.
4. Ask about branding/customisation early
If you want a branded box, sleeve or engraving, factor in extra lead time (typically 1-2 weeks) and a minimum order size (usually 100+ units) — this is far easier to plan for upfront than to add after the bulk order is placed.
5. Plan delivery logistics for multi-location teams
For distributed teams or dealer networks, decide early whether you're shipping to one central location for internal redistribution, or direct-to-recipient across multiple cities — the second option needs a clean address list well before dispatch.
6. Order ahead of festive season
For Diwali or year-end gifting specifically, place bulk orders 4-6 weeks ahead — see our Diwali gifting guide for a full timeline.
